About Wendi Meise
Wendi Meise is a children’s author and illustrator who creates gentle, faith-rooted stories designed to nurture courage, kindness, and hope in little hearts.
Inspired by family, faith, and the quiet moments that shape a child’s spirit, Wendi writes stories that feel calm, comforting, and meaningful. Her books are created to help children feel safe, loved, and brave — especially during seasons of big feelings, uncertainty, or growth.

Wendi is also an ordained Foursquare pastor, and her work is deeply rooted in a desire to share God’s love in simple, accessible ways. This heart for encouragement and faith is woven gently into the stories and resources she creates.
​
Before becoming a full-time author, Wendi worked in schools as a learning assistant and behaviour assistant, where she supported children through emotional, social, and developmental challenges. That experience continues to shape her storytelling, allowing her to create books that truly meet children where they are.

With more than 100 published titles across multiple series — including Jerome the Gnome, Gentle Bible Stories for Little Hearts, Brave Hearts Club, Forest Friends of Canada, Monster Friends, Junkyard Friends, Sparkle Friends, Safari Friends, Ocean Friends, A Bug’s World, Dino Friends, and Farmyard Friends — Wendi’s storytelling world is filled with soft watercolor illustrations, warm characters, and messages that linger long after the last page.

As a grandmother, artist, and lifelong creative entrepreneur, Wendi believes stories are more than entertainment — they are seeds planted in young hearts. Through her books and printable activity resources, she hopes to encourage families to slow down, connect, and grow together in faith and love.

When she’s not writing or painting, Wendi enjoys time with her family, caring for her dogs, and dreaming up the next gentle adventure for her readers.
